New Christmas Cards for 2011

So I have learned something! That is, I am a TERRIBLE blogger. I have so many new photos to share but it seems, never enough time to sit down and get them on here! I hope to soon.

However, this post is about Christmas cards! I have some new cards to add to the selections I offered last year. If you are interested in purchasing Christmas cards from me, please email me and I can give you the pricing on them.

The Wedding

So, life got slammed again and I went missing in action! I had to take a lil break from photography and blogging due to the craziness of life. However, I hope to slowly get back into it. All that to say, my first session in awhile, was my very first wedding!

*I AM NOT a wedding photographer! *

However, I let myself get talked into shooting this very special wedding. This was a 2nd wedding of two wonderful people. One of who is a friend of a good friend of mine. Anyways, they did not want "wedding" photos but more of a family session before the wedding, commemorating the joining of two families into one. I didn't do any photos of the actual ceremony just family photos before. Even so, I learned A LOT! I am really glad that I did this as it pushed me way out of my comfort zone. Thankfully, after it looking like horrible weather with no safety cushion of being rescheduled for a few days, it ended up being absolutely gorgeous with perfect light! We were at the beautiful Scarrit Bennet campus so I couldn't have asked for a prettier back drop for which to shoot. The wedding party looked fabulous and so we ended up with a great session! So allow me to show you my first ever "wedding" photos!

Hello!

Yes, I am still alive and yes, I am still taking pictures! 2010 was a crazy busy year and I let my blog go but now I am ready to hopefully get back to blogging my work regularly. That is a new year resolution for myself.

I had the pleasure of photographing this family a few weeks ago. It was just a beautiful day! I had a really good time with their playful boys, who were much more interested in exploring the park and museum than getting their pictures taken. However, they were great sports about it! So, I am again very, very far behind in my blogging. What else is new? March was a very busy, very, stressful month that did though have a lot of fun mixed in too. I am glad to be moving into April and warmer weather!

I met this sweet little girl for her 6 month pics. She is just beautiful and such a little lady. She loved being outdoors and exploring. This little one is just too cute! Such a happy baby and so photogenic! He loved being outdoors and seeing all the new sites, sounds, and smells after such a long, cold winter indoors. He was fascinated with all the new textures he got to feel on the photo shoot. He even tried to eat handfuls of grass! So much so that we gave up sitting in the grass. Awhile ago, I mentioned that I would be working with the fabulous Laken and Lila shop on etsy. She had commissioned me to photograph first her Valentine line and now her spring line! She sent tons of fabulous clothes and I was able to finagle a Mommy/daughter trip to Florida to begin photographing the spring line. It was quite cold in Florida so the girls would run out of steam really quick with the modeling but we had fun. The rest will be photographed here in Nashville! I have had these pictures done for awhile now. They were Christmas gifts for Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. Can I just say how awesome my clients are! This is my third photo shoot for this sweet family. The first two were for their adorable little girl and now they have a beautiful baby boy too! I am so privileged to be able to capture their sweet family as they grow and change. I am also grateful for their patience too! A few weekends ago, I got to spend part of my afternoon playing in the leaves with little Miss L! She had just had a birthday and her Mommy wanted to celebrate by having some pictures taken of her in the leaves. Miss L is so photogenic and has the most amazing blue eyes. This sweet little family has one very active, adorable little boy! He is 15 months old and loves to explore. We actually got to incorporate two locations and times into our shoot due to the rain. Rain in Nashville? Shocking, I know :)

These sweet little kids are some of my kids' best friends. It was such fun photographing them because my kids got to go along and watch their friends get photographed. I was hoping that my kids would watch and see how fun a session was and not hate having their picture taken! They came and watched but still hate having their picture taken. Ha! Anyway, these two P kids are absolutely beautiful and the camera just loves them and they did everything I asked them to do, cheerfully and with smiles. We had a great session and here are my favs:

This sweet family was a lot of fun to hang out with. It is so apparent they have a great relationship. I wasn't sure if the weather was going to cooperate with us to get these done before the oldest brother had to leave for military training. He was only on leave for a few days and it just kept raining and raining. We finally snuck in a quick Sunday afternoon session. I think the pictures turned out great. I hope Mom is pleased! We do have a moral learned from my session with them: Don't eat Mexican food for lunch before a photo shoot! We will just leave it at that :) Here are my favs from our session:

Meet baby Cora. This sweet little girl was just perfect for our session. She is also the spitting image of her big brother! I was so happy to meet her and find out her name which her parents kept secret for so long. She already looks like a Cora too. It is so funny how a name just fits! Even though she looks like her brother, she is all girl! I loved her sweet smiles. Here are my favs from our session:

This sweet little guy just celebrated turning 3 months old! He is looking more and more like his older brothers. There is no doubt whatsoever that he comes from the W family! So sweet and easy going too. I guess you have to be when you have 3 older brothers! He was a little sleepy during our session but good as gold, just not as smiley as Mom was hoping for. Three month pics are so hard because they don't do a whole lot yet but I still think we got some adorable ones!

Brown Eyed Girls (Nashville Area Children, Family, and Baby Photographer)

This adorable family has the sweetest little brown eyed girls. Big brown eyes! They could not be any cuter! All four of them were a pleasure to work with. I loved tagging along with the 2 year olds explorations of the park. She was so curious and fun!

This sweet family has had so much patience with me too! I had to reschedule with them minutes before our first photo session due to a family emergency. Those poor parents had gotten two kids and themselves ready for pictures only to have their photographer cancel on them as they were pulling into the park. (Future clients, I don't make a habit of it but my son had a bike accident and was being taken to the hospital! Turned out he was fine but I couldn't have taken pictures so worried about him. A Mommy has to be with her kids at a time like that!) After that shoot we had a few weeks of rain but we finally connected on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and had a great shoot! The whole family is super photogenic. The Momma made my night when she told me that a photo shoot with me was her birthday present that she had asked for. That made my week to know that she liked my work enough to want a photo shoot for her birthday! I hope I lived up to a good birthday present. This sweet little girl is the baby sister of one of my son's classmates. I was very nervous and very flattered when her Mommy asked me to photograph her, as she is a very accomplished photographer too! She just wasn't up to the task of newborn photos so soon after giving birth. Anyway, her daughter is just beautiful. So dainty and perfect! There was no doubt she was a girl. She was very alert for our session but did not cry a bit! Such a little lady already at just 10 days old. Here are my favs from our session:
